Recent tick on my bucket list

Today, I’ve shared with my colleagues about my journey for the past 25 years. And how I am ticking my bucket list besides what I have managed to get via social media.

I actually volunteered to present in the sharing session to really break the ice and inspire. And I wish to recap 3 lines of If by Rudyard Kipling which has been my reference point.

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
‘ Or walk with Kings – nor lose the common touch,

I have selected these lines because these lines gave the biggest impact to me.

Dare to dream

If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;

I shared that it is never too late to dream of something that you want in your life. And one of the way to do it is to start doing what you love.

Most people complaint that they don’t have the enough time. But if you can save 1 hour of your time over 2 years, you have a month extra compared to everybody else. And use the time that you have saved to do what you love and feel good about it.

And don’t listen to what other people will say.

What’s Next?

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

Triumph and Disaster. Those are achievements and the downs in your life. Why impostors  Because the most important thing is what’s next? What you’re going to do after the event that took place.

In an entrepreneurial way to look at it, are you hungry enough?

Humble

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
‘ Or walk with Kings – nor lose the common touch,

A good quality of leader I explained must see himself down to Earth while the people are looking high at him. It is not about yourself, it is about them.

And never lose the common touch. If you can walk among the elitist. You have the borrowed privilege and you will return normal as they pass you by. So, don’t ever lose the common touch.

Recent tick on my bucket list

And my recent tick on my bucket list is the realization of my family dreams for me to work with PETRONAS. I’ve joined the PETRONAS family since January 2005 until the release of my bond in 2010.

After 3 years, I’m back and today, I’ve shared my ambition to:

Be damn good, that no one can ignore you!
